Ram 1500 has no need for an introduction. It is amongst the big three names. The other two are the ford f-150 and the Chevy Silverado.
The 2021 Ram 1500 offers several trims. They are the Tradesman, Tradesman HFE, Big Horn, Lamarie, Limited, Limited Longhorn, Rebel, and TRX.
What is good about the bighorn? This model sort of marks a sweet spot amongst the various RAMs. People can have a base bighorn for fairly cheap, like in the mid 30 thousand. People can also add several options to it and almost equal it to the Laramie.
So what is there in the Base Big Horn crew cab 4x4 with V8 Hemi of 5.7 liters with eTorque? Right beside the steering wheel is the screen of 8.4 inches.
It’s been branded as amongst the top infotainments available. There aren’t many controls beneath the screen.
There are the traction control, the tow-haul mode, and the trailer brake controller.
To the left of these is the four-wheel-drive selector. It has 4WD auto, high and low. Beneath the wheel drive selector is the automatic stop start.
This feature is explicit to the mild hybrid RAM with etorque.
The steering wheel
The steering wheel has the cruise control options at the right. Then, there is the gear limiter for the driver to opt for gears at the time of towing.
The driver wanting to downshift or go down a sharp grade, etc., can control here. At the left is the touchpad. What is its use? The driver can control the data in the middle screen right behind the steering wheel.
Cloth seats and dual glove boxes
A standard in the bighorn is cloth seats. These seats are rather comfortable. Folks who wish to can always upgrade to leather. Some of that cloth is also present on the door.
To the right of the infotainment are the dual glove boxes. The top glove box has a small light inside. The driver can open it by pressing a button and close it by simply pulling it down. A little below is the lower glove box.

This model is a bench seat car. So, the center console is absent. There is a small amount of storage area at the base of the front middle seat. For more storage, folks can pull the middle seat down.
There’re two cup holders. Folks will get some more storage by pulling up the flap right behind the cup holders.
